The Summit County Seniors Golf Program is an excellent way to meet other seniors who have the same passion for the sport. The golf courses in the area are beautiful, challenging and provide opportunities for players of all skill levels. Golf courses in the program include the Keystone River and Ranch courses as well as the Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks.
Three programs exist for the senior golfer…
- First, the golf program coordinator has arranged discounted green fees at each of the courses identified above for senior members. To participate in this program, seniors must be up to date on Summit Seniors membership dues and have purchased a Seniors Golf Card at the Senior Center for $5.
- Second, Boomers on the Links: The Seniors Golf Program promotes and supports a weekly Tuesday clinic at the Keystone River Course. During these outings, participants play nine holes of golf, receive a group lesson and are treated to lunch for a reasonable price. Those interested in this clinic should contact the Keystone Pro Shop at (970) 498-1520 to reserve a spot.
- Finally, special golf outings are arranged at courses apart from those mentioned above. These outings give the senior golfer an opportunity to try courses not played before. The group aims for two special outings in the summer during July and August.
