In alignment with recent Summit County Health Department recommendations due to the rapid increase in COVID cases over the Christmas holiday, the Summit Seniors Board is providing the following revised direction for Summit Seniors’ activities at the Community and Senior Center (SCSC). Starting Tuesday, December 28, 2021, and continuing for 2 weeks until Monday January 10, 2022, all SCSC indoor activities will return to virtual only for now. There will be NO Summit Seniors indoor activities at the Senior Center during this time. Outdoor SCSC activities will continue to take place with social distancing observed and masks are recommended.
It is also recommended that all members be fully vaccinated and boostered before participating in any Summit Seniors activities. Over the next two weeks, the Summit Seniors Board will consider how to adopt the County’s recommendation to require all individuals 12 years of age or older to be fully vaccinated for entry into the Senior Center. Please check back at this website for the most up to date information. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this latest COVID surge within our community.
